These are general guidelines and may vary slightly depending on the total number of talks and the number of invited talks in the particular session.
All oral sessions will be equipped with a LCD projector, a Windows-based PC computer, a wireless lapel microphone, a laser pointer, and remote for advancing the slides. Presentations in either PowerPoint (ppt) or pdf format are strongly encouraged.
While discouraged due to the time needed to switch systems, if you need to use a MAC, bring your own computer to the meeting room. Please contact if you plan to use your own computer.
Loading and Previewing Talks
Each presentation must be downloaded to the Speaker Preview Computer in the Speaker-Ready Room (Golden Gate Room located off the North Point Lounge). This can be done by CD, thumb drive, or by .
All presenters are strongly encouraged to load and verify their presentations as early as possible but at least 2 hours before the session. After you have previewed your talk, conference staff will transfer it the meeting room projection computer. The Speaker-Ready Room will be available at these times:
These guidelines will ensure sessions run smoothly. Please note that session chairs will be instructed that session time lost due to technical difficulties from not following the above guidelines will be subtracted from the presenter’s allocated time.
Poster Sessions will be in the Amador Room, which is located off the main ballroom. Each poster will be assigned a number and specific board for mounting. Please check the poster list that will be available at the meeting for the final assignment.
Size and Mounting
Each poster will be allocated a maximum of 46 inches x 46 inches (117 cm x 117 cm). Posters will be mounted by push pins, which will be supplied.
Put up / Take down
Please mount your poster prior to the Plenary session (before 8:30 AM), during the AM break (10:00-10:30 AM), or during the lunch hour (12:30-1:30 PM). Take down your poster immediately after the poster session which ends at 6:30 PM.
